The PastThyme Post
Wow!! What a long winter we have experienced this year!! We've been busy sewing samples of the new fabrics that arrive on these cold days. We have enjoyed working with the soft colors which make us think about spring!
We have lots of new things to inspire you and hope you were able to attend our Preview Party last night. For those that attended it was so much fun to see your smiling faces and we hope you enjoyed the night as much as we did.
We are very excited about our block of the month "A Quilter's Trio" which will begin in March. This quilt surely has a lot of possibilities and each quilt will be unique to each individual.
We are also planning to start Quilt with Laura which is a miniature style block quilt with each block relating to Laura Ingalls Wilder's life.
Phylllis, my mom, has shared a beautiful crazy quilt in which she gathered recycled garments to create this masterpiece. Be sure to stop in and see it! We're also offering a class on this. We invite you to bring in fabrics to swap.
We are also participating in a "Bra Hop" in April and think this will be a memorable and very fun hop for our hoppers, as well as us!! We also continue to make plans for our 4th annual MN State Shop Hop, which begins on July 30th. The fabrics will begin to arrive in May, and depicts Minnesota very well.
We are traveling to International Spring Market in May with some of our own pattern designs and are nervous and excited about that venture!!
American Patchwork & Quilting is sponsoring "The One Million Pillowcase Challenge" and we think this is a good way to give back to our community. We are having a Saturday Sew In in March, (March 20th) and invite you to come in and sew the 30 minute pillowcases or feel free to drop them off at the shop and we will deliver them.
We are also planning a trip to the Twin Cities area again this fall, so make sure you watch for this on our website as new details emerge.
Also-look forward to a what's new party in June after our return home from Spring Market in Minneapolis.
I will keep my thoughts on Spring as my husband tells me it's right around the corner!! I hope he's right and that we won't need a boat when spring does decide to roll around.
Count your blessings, Darci
